The Avatar is entirely browser-based — there is no app to download or install. Any device with a modern web browser and an internet connection can display a Plural Avatar. You will see Albert, a sample Plural Avatar. Talk to him, touch the on-screen buttons, and get a feel for how the Avatar works. Ask yourself:
Once your device is ready, proceed to Add a Device to connect your Avatar to your Plural account.
Step 1 — Try the demo
Open Google Chrome on your target device (smartphone, computer, smart TV, kiosk, etc.) and navigate to the following URL:- Does the Avatar understand your voice clearly?
- Does animation run smoothly on this hardware?
- Does the face-recognition camera pick you up quickly?
Step 2 — Plan your deployment environment
Think about where the Avatar will live in production. A few common considerations:| Environment | Key challenges | Recommended investment |
|---|---|---|
| Trade show / expo | Background noise, poor connectivity, backlit lighting | High-quality directional microphone, bright display, external camera, cellular hotspot |
| Reception desk | Moderate noise, reliable Wi-Fi | Standard webcam and microphone |
| Home / office kiosk | Quiet, stable network | Default device hardware is usually sufficient |
Step 3 — Choose the right browser
Plural Avatars are optimised for Google Chrome. Always use Chrome on your target device for the best experience.Contact the Plural support team at support@humanizing.com if you would like hardware recommendations tailored to your deployment scenario.
