Open the task planning via the Windows search and click on "Create task...".

Settings in the "General" tab: Give the task a name. Select "Run independently of user login" at the bottom. Then tick "Run with highest privileges". Under "Configure for", select the option "Windows 10".

Then switch to the "Triggers" tab and click on "New...".

Settings in the "New trigger" window: Under "Start task", select "On a schedule". On the left, decide how often the task should be carried out. On the right, specify when the task is to be carried out for the first time. "Enabled" must be ticked at the bottom. Confirm with "OK".

Switch to the "Actions" tab and click on "New...". In the "New action" window, select "Start programme" as the action. Enter "shutdown" under "Programme/Script". Then add arguments: "/S /F". Confirm with "OK".

Switch to the "Conditions" tab. Tick "Only start task if computer is idle for". Select the time period on the right. Then tick "End if computer is reactivated from idle" and "Restart if idle for longer". Complete the new task with "OK".
