# Register and Log In to Your Plural Account

> Create a new Plural account, log in at go.plural.io, reset a forgotten password, and learn about two-factor authentication.

Plural is a cloud-based platform, so every interaction — building projects, managing robots, and publishing content — happens through your browser at [go.plural.io](https://go.plural.io). Before you can do anything else, you need an account and a way to sign in.

## Create a new account

If you do not have a Plural account yet, register for free at [https://go.plural.io/register](https://go.plural.io/register).

    Navigate to [https://go.plural.io/register](https://go.plural.io/register) in your browser.

  <Step title="Fill in your details">
    Enter your name, email address, and a strong password, then accept the terms of service.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm your email">
    Check your inbox for a confirmation email from Plural and click the verification link to activate your account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Log in">
    Once your email is confirmed, you are automatically signed in — or you can return to [go.plural.io](https://go.plural.io) and log in manually.

## Log in to an existing account

    Open [https://go.plural.io](https://go.plural.io) in your browser.

  <Step title="Enter your credentials">
    Type your registered email address and password into the login form.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Log In">
    Press the **Log In** button. Plural will take you straight to your dashboard.

## Reset a forgotten password

If you cannot remember your password, you can reset it without contacting support.

    On the login page at [go.plural.io](https://go.plural.io), click the **Forgot Password?** link below the login form.

  <Step title="Enter your email address">
    Type the email address associated with your Plural account and submit the form.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check your inbox">
    Plural will send you a password-reset email. Open it and click the reset link.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set a new password">
    Enter and confirm your new password, then save it. You can now log in with your new credentials.
  </Step>

<Warning>
  The password-reset link expires after a short time. If it has expired, simply request a new one by repeating the process above.

## Two-factor authentication (2FA)

For additional account security, Plural supports two-factor authentication. You can enable and manage 2FA from your account security settings.
